Empress Tallowah, born Phindile Fortunate Suntsha, is a multifaceted creative entrepreneur and community leader from Soweto, South Africa. Her diverse roles encompass being a Mentor, HeArt Alignment Specialist, Author, and Artivist to mention a few, all unified by a commitment to fostering love, healing, education and transformation through the arts.
As the South African Ambassador for World Dream Day, a global initiative celebrated annually on September 25th. Empress Tallowah plays a pivotal role in inspiring individuals and communities to envision and work towards their dreams. Her ambassadorship involves engaging with communities to promote the power of dreaming as a catalyst for personal and societal change.
In addition to her ambassadorial duties, Empress Tallowah is the founder of Ark Soweto (Acts of Random Kindness), a nonprofit organisation dedicated to community upliftment through arts-based education and wellness programs.
Empress Tallowah's artistic endeavours include performing and writing. As an author, she self-published a book titled "Settling In One's Heart: Surviving the 2020 Global Pandemic," offering insights into resilience and self-discovery during challenging times.
In her capacity as the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of EKOW Group (Pty) Ltd, Empress Tallowah extends her impact into the business realm, focusing on empowering creatives through strategic initiatives. One such initiative is the Creative Arts Business Indaba, a platform designed to enhance financial literacy among artists and cultural entrepreneurs.
She is currently the Cohort 9 Fellow of the Global Arts in Medicine Fellowship. Through her various roles, Empress Tallowah exemplifies the integration of art, healing, and activism, making significant contributions to her community and beyond.
